The kids are back in school – it’s party time! I’d hedge a bet that every parent has that moment of celebration each time a new school year kicks off. Even those newbie kindergarten moms (like myself) who cried the first day that they dropped their little ones off at school. π And even though we are not throwing any epic back-to-school parties (side note: we should totally make that a thing) we still have a lot of fun annual events and holidays approaching. Football season starts in a couple of weeks…fall festivals are right around the corner…and before you know it, Halloween will be here! There are so many things to celebrate…so why not gather up a group of friends and have some fun?
But gathering a group can sometimes be tedious and time-consuming. You want your get-together to be special. You want to send attendees a nice, personalized invitation – complete with a beautiful, lined envelope…and a colorful stamp that matches the theme. Selecting stationary, addressing envelopes, and swinging by the post office can certainly eat up a good chunk of your time. So why not make it easier on yourself and send online invitations with Paperless Post?
You will never have to compromise on design – there are literally hundreds of fabulous and fun options! Heck, you can even design invitations from scratch. The entire process is quick and painless, incredibly user-friendly…and the end result is always a stunning invitation that your guests will be more than happy to see pop into their inbox. Save paper, save stamps…and save your attendees from the inevitable counter clutter. It’s all as easy as a few clicks of the mouse!
That being said, it’s one thing for me to tell you how easy it is…and another to actually show you. So…that’s what I’m going to do! In the following video, we will create a fun and festive invitation for a Halloween party and costume parade. But before we begin…I just want to give you a heads up – I’m still a total amateur when it comes to tutorial videos and I tend to ramble. My apologies, in advance. π The video is a little over 20 minutes long…but the actual invitation process wraps up around the 13-minute mark. After that I talk more about the costs involved (and how you can save money)…and I give a brief glimpse at Paperless Post’s newest flyer feature – which allows the use of GIFs and stickers!
Easy-peasy…right?!? I love that you can send different invitations and save-the-dates for various events…and Paperless Post will keep everything organized and streamlined for you. You can see all of your invitations from your Post Box. You can see who has opened invitations, RSVP’d, commented or sent a message. All of the information is kept right there in one spot. You don’t need to keep a handwritten list of attendees, or worry about invitations getting lost in the mail.
I love using Paperless Post! In fact, after creating our Halloween invitations…I decided to use the site to create a quick, interactive flyer to invite friends to a rowdy football party to celebrate the Broncos’ season-opener against the Raiders!
Once the football flyer was complete, I created a professional save-the-date for a Parent/Child Arts + Crafts Party that Capturing Parenthood will host next month. And I was beyond thrilled when I discovered that I could use our logo for the invitation art!
I love how it turned out…so I wanted to share it with you! The following video shows the recipient’s experience when opening their invitation from a mobile device.
There are very few places where you can curate such elegant online invitations, flyers, and save-the-date cards. I will definitely be using Paperless Post for all of my future event invitations! And I encourage you to go check them out – you get 25 free coins just for signing up!
